There is no public contributor directory, follower count, rating system, or bidding. A project sees only what it needs after you accept the disclosure terms.

Your choice every time.

A match is an invitation to consider a scoped call. You can decline without penalty. No match, project, income, or partnership is guaranteed.

The record stays honest.

Every scoped contribution starts with a Help Record or project agreement signed or accepted through recorded electronic assent. After review, it receives an accepted, rejected, incomplete, withdrawn, or disputed status. Accepted work and the exact right earned then enter the Contribution Ledger.

Ability Profiles stay private under the Privacy Policy. Project confidentiality terms activate before protected project details are shared. The idea-protection agreement does not silently turn a profile into an Idea Record.

The first matching call is a 30-minute introduction, not project work. It requests no preparation, advice, prototype, review, production task, or usable deliverable. Anything beyond that requires a lawful written work agreement. Nonwaivable pay rules control.

What belongs here

Product and web design, software development, research, writing, sales, customer discovery, project management, operations, finance, quality assurance, security, accessibility, print, embroidery, fulfillment, and other abilities a real build needs.
Proof can include finished work, work samples, references, outcomes you can support, or a controlled skill check. A famous employer, degree, or polished résumé does not replace proof.
State your real availability. Five dependable hours can be more useful than twenty imaginary ones.

What your status means

Your profile is Active, Refresh Requested, or Closed. The profile shows its next refresh date. If you do not refresh it, CTRLALTDEFECT stops using it for new matches until you do.
For a specific need, your status is Invited, Not Selected, or Need Closed. Not Selected applies to that need, not your whole profile. The status includes a short reason category such as ability fit, proof, availability, timing, jurisdiction, conflict, or a changed project need.
There is no indefinite pending state and no guaranteed matching date. If a project is not ready to choose, no invitation is presented as active.

Work never starts on a wink

Scope first.

Before project work begins, the Help Record or project agreement signed or accepted through recorded electronic assent states the deliverable, owner, deadline, acceptance test, confidentiality, tools, expense rules, and who can approve a change.

Economics first.

Cash, deferred cash, revenue participation, project rights, or possible ownership must be stated before the work that can earn it. If the record does not promise it, do not assume it.

Work never starts on a wink

No accidental free labor.

A quick exploratory answer must be labeled and bounded. Production work requires agreed terms. “Exposure” is never compensation.

No surprise expenses.

Do not spend personal money and expect reimbursement unless an authorized record approved the expense first.

Acceptance cannot sit forever

Unless the record states a different period, the named acceptance owner has seven business days after delivery to accept the work, reject it against the original test, or request the agreed cure. The test cannot change without a signed scope change.
A rejection states what missed the test and whether a cure is available. Rejected or incomplete work may not be used unless the record expressly permits that use or the work is later accepted.

Acceptance cannot sit forever

Silence does not change the status unless the signed record says it does. On the eighth business day, unresolved work automatically becomes Disputed and goes to the Work Dispute Reviewer, who issues a written decision within five business days. The project may not use the work while the dispute is open. If no decision arrives, the scope pauses and the contributor may end it; the work stays unusable until a written settlement or required legal process decides otherwise. Unless the record states another date, accepted cash compensation is due within ten business days and a noncash earned right is entered in the ledger within five business days, without replacing any legally required issuance or approval.

What the record does and does not do

The Contribution Ledger preserves the history of accepted work and the rights already earned under the applicable record. It does not create equity by itself.
Sustained, high-quality contribution can lead to an invitation to discuss a Defect Partnership. No number of hours, calls, comments, or completed tasks automatically earns an invitation or ownership.
Creating a profile or taking a call does not by itself make you an employee, contractor, owner, agent, or legal partner. The controlling agreements, real working relationship, and applicable law determine that status.

Your copy of the record

You can download each finalized Help Record, status decision, Contribution Ledger entry, and signed project agreement when it is created. If the project closes or your access is scheduled to end, CTRLALTDEFECT provides a final export before access ends when law and safety permit.
A safety suspension may change when or how a copy is delivered, but it does not erase your right to receive your own record subject to lawful redaction and the controlling agreement.
