A REAL REVIEW.A WRITTEN ANSWER.

The Build Review checks whether the problem is real, whether a buyer exists, what the evidence says, what the build will require, and what could kill it. Every complete submission receives a reasoned response.

What happens before review

Completeness check.

We confirm that the record includes enough information to review. Missing information returns to you with a specific request. It does not enter a silent queue.

Conflict check.

Initial screening uses the minimum sanitized information needed to assign a reviewer. Assigned reviewers disclose material conflicts before they receive the full protected record. If a conflict appears later, CTRLALTDEFECT stops that reviewer’s access, records what was seen, and reassigns or stops the review.

What happens before review

Target date.

Your dashboard shows the current review target after the submission is complete. If that date changes, the status and reason change with it. Silence never counts as a decision.

No review fee.

The Build Review is not hourly consulting, and payment cannot move a submission ahead of another one.

Who decides

The Build Review Lead issues Advance, Develop, or Decline after the assigned reviewers document their evidence and recommendation. The About page names the person currently filling that role.

Who decides

A separate Process Reviewer handles a claimed conflict, factual error, missing record, or failure to follow the published review process. That person does not replace business judgment just because the founder disagrees.

After an Advance, the Project Build Lead and founder approve the Build Brief and Needs Map. The Project Build Lead proposes possible contributors; the founder and each contributor choose whether to proceed.

A Build Brief plans the work. It does not authorize work, transfer IP, or create compensation. Only the person or role named in a signed Help Record or project agreement can accept work or approve a scope change.

The same ten areas

AreaWhat we need to know
1. ProblemWhat specific problem exists, who experiences it, and how serious or frequent it is
2. CustomerWho makes the buying decision, who uses the solution, and whether those are different people
3. EvidenceWhat you have observed, measured, sold, tested, or learned directly
4. Demand and path to marketHow the right people will find, try, buy, or adopt it without imaginary reach
5. Solution and advantageWhy this approach is useful, what already exists, and why somebody would choose it

The same ten areas

AreaWhat we need to know
6. Founder contributionWhat you will own, do, decide, learn, or provide during the build
7. Operating constraintsThe time, money, employer rules, geography, equipment, licensing, family obligations, and other limits the plan must survive
8. Needed abilityWhich people and skills are missing, how much work is required, and whether the smallest viable team is available
9. Economics and riskPrice, cost, margin, capital, compliance, dependencies, failure points, and what happens if the assumptions are wrong
10. Smallest useful testThe least expensive honest experiment that can change the decision

Advance.

Enough holds up to open build planning. Advance does not guarantee funding, a team, partnership, company formation, or success. The next record names the first test, needed people, budget, owner, and stop conditions.

Develop.

The idea is not ready to advance, but a specific gap can be tested. The response names the question, evidence that would matter, and when another review can happen. Develop is not a soft maybe that lasts forever. It may identify evidence the founder can gather for their own submission, but CTRLALTDEFECT does not request, receive, or use productive work without a lawful work agreement.

Decline.

We are not moving forward. The response explains the material reasons and whether genuinely new evidence could justify a later submission. The protected disclosure stays governed by the Mutual Protection Agreement, and a Decline gives CTRLALTDEFECT no new right to use it.

Corrections and disagreement

  • You can request correction of a factual error, report an undisclosed conflict, or challenge a failure to follow the stated process.
  • Disagreeing with the judgment does not automatically create another review. If new evidence materially changes the case, the response will say whether and how to return.
  • Reviewers document the evidence and reasoning behind the result. They do not grade confidence, charisma, or how polished the founder sounds.

FIND OUT WHETHER IT HAS TEETH.

Bring evidence, not a performance. Leave knowing where you stand.
