What we expect from you
Tell the truth.
Be accurate about the idea, evidence, work, availability, rights, conflicts, money, progress, and problems. Bad news told early can be managed. A material fact hidden until it causes damage may end the engagement.
Commit within your real limits.
Jobs, family, health, and money change what you can do. State the hours, dates, and responsibility you can actually carry. Five dependable hours beat twenty imaginary ones.
Follow through or speak early.
Finish what you accepted. If something changes, say so before the deadline and help reset the plan. Silence is not a status update.
Use only what you have the right to use.
Do not bring employer data, client secrets, copied work, a cofounder’s property, unlicensed material, or examples you cannot lawfully share.
