Submission Terms.

These are the site rules for creating, reviewing, updating, withdrawing, and retaining an idea submission.

Mutual Protection Agreement.

This is the contract. It says what is protected, who may see it, how long the duties last, and what happens if something goes wrong. If this page and the accepted agreement differ, the agreement controls.

The sequence

    Create the account.

    Basic identity only. Do not put the idea in a general field, email, contact form, or Open Floor post.

    Read the exact version.

    The agreement shows its version, date, legal parties, and full terms.

    Both sides accept.

    Your dashboard must show protection as active before the sensitive form unlocks.

The sequence

    Create the record.

    The system timestamps the finalized submission and stores a digital fingerprint of that version. Updates create new versions rather than replacing the history.

  2. 5

    Control access.

    Only assigned people and necessary service providers receive access for a stated purpose under applicable confidentiality and conflict obligations.

  3. 6

    Record the decision.

    Questions, material access, version changes, the Build Review response, withdrawal, and closure enter the audit history.

What the record proves

  • It helps show what the CTRLALTDEFECT system received, when it received it, and whether the stored version later changed.
  • It does not create a patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, company ownership, or equity interest.

  • It does not prove that the idea is unique, legally protectable, originally yours, unknown to others, or free of employer, cofounder, client, school, or third-party claims.
  • You are responsible for having the right to submit the material. If that is uncertain, stop before disclosure and get qualified advice.

What protection covers and what it cannot promise

  • The actual agreement, not this summary, defines the protected information and how long the duties last.
  • Ordinary exclusions may include information that was already public, already lawfully known, independently developed without the protected disclosure, or lawfully received from another source. Legally compelled disclosure and approved advisers or service providers also need specific rules.

What protection covers and what it cannot promise

  • No system can guarantee secrecy or perfect security. CTRLALTDEFECT must limit access, record it, respond to suspected misuse, and honor the remedies and notice duties in the agreement.
  • If related prior work or a reviewer conflict exists, CTRLALTDEFECT restricts access, reassigns the review, or stops before deeper disclosure when the conflict cannot be managed.

Decline, withdrawal, and retention

  • A Decline does not transfer your submission. CTRLALTDEFECT does not use the protected details to build the idea with another founder or as an internal venture except as the Mutual Protection Agreement permits.
  • Withdrawal stops the active review once processed. It does not automatically erase a finalized record or cancel duties that the Mutual Protection Agreement says survive.

Decline, withdrawal, and retention

  • The final agreements and Privacy Policy must distinguish the full submission, working copies, sealed evidence, content hash, account data, backups, access logs, and legal holds. Return-or-destroy duties apply only to the material the agreement names.
  • You can add a correction or dispute note without silently rewriting the original record. You can download each finalized Idea Record, decision, and signed agreement when it is created. If a project closes or access is scheduled to end, CTRLALTDEFECT provides a final export before access ends when law and safety permit. Deletion, de-identification, and longer retention follow applicable law and the controlling terms.

If something goes wrong

  • Report suspected unauthorized access, misuse, missing records, or a conflict to the monitored legal or privacy contact.
  • CTRLALTDEFECT records the report, limits further access where appropriate, preserves evidence, investigates, communicates what it can, and follows the agreement and applicable law.
  • A website summary cannot promise a specific legal outcome. The actual facts, agreement, and law control.
